Banana Split

Easiest way to have compliment on your dessert after having it.. very easy to prepare with home ingredients only.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Banana, peeled, cut length-ways    1
  • Vanilla ice-cream                             2 scoops
  •  Pecans, chopped                              3

Homemade Chocolate sauce (Makes 2/3 cup)

  • Dark chocolate, broken into squares  100 gms
  • Thickened cream                                1/4 Cup
  • Kahlua, optional                                 1 tbsp

Note: 

KahlĂșa is a coffee-flavored sugar-based liqueur from Mexico. The drink also contains rum, corn syrup and vanilla bean.


The pecan (Nut) is a species of hickory native to Mexico and the south-central and south-eastern regions of the United States.

Method:

To make chocolate sauce: Place chocolate and cream in a microwave safe jug. Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) power for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every minute with a metal spoon or until smooth. Stir in Kahlua, if desired.
Place banana slices on a plate. Top with scoops of ice-cream.

Drizzle with chocolate sauce. Sprinkle with nuts. Serve.

Note: You can use other nuts in place of Pecan
