The mouth watering, delicious, soft and velvety wheat flour halwa or atte ka halwa, which is rich in sugar and ghee is favorite of everyone. Let's have the recipe of it.
Ingredients:
- Ghee - 1/2 cup
- Atta (Wheat flour) - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1 cup (or as required)
- Water - 4 cups
Method:
Heat the ghee in a pan or kadhai. Add whole wheat flour to it and start roasting it. At the same time, place the water and the sugar in another pan, to dissolve the sugar and keep on simmer tiull required.
Stir- fry atta continuously till its color changes to golden brown and you get the aroma of roasted whole wheat flour. Also it begins to release ghee.
Now add sugar solution to this mixture stirring continuously, so that no lumps are formed and water get absorbed.
When the halwa is semi thick serve it hot.
Note:
- You can add cardamom powder to it for aroma.
- You can use 1 cup or 1/2 cup ghee as per your choice in the above measurements.
- Garnishing can be done as per your choice.
