Fruit Custard


Fruit custard has an unfair reputation of being a rather boring dessert. Not true. Fruit custard is a simple, tasty, and relatively healthy dessert option. If you have great-tasting fruit, your custard can't go wrong. Experiment with different exotic fruits, as well as different combinations.


Ingredients:
  • Banana                                 1
  • Pear                                      1 med
  • Apple                                   1 med
  • Custard powder                   2 tbsp
  • Milk                                     1 cup
  • Butter                                   1 tsp
  • Sugar                                   1/4 cup
  • Mixed fruit jam                   2 tbsp
  • Fresh pomegranate pearls   3 tbsp

Method:

Finely chop apple, banana and pear (or any other fruit of your choice like mango, strawberry, blueberry, kiwi, etc.) Take custard powder in a bowl. Add milk and mix well.

Heat Pan, Pour the milk, sugar and custard mixture in it and cook while stirring continuously, till it thickens.

Now, Heat butter in other Pan. Add chopped apple, pear and banana to the butter and saute and mix till soft. Add sauteed fruits to the custard and mix well.

Heat jam in another non-stick pan. Add little water, mix and cook till it melts. Add 3 tbsp pomegranate pearls to the jam and mix well. Divide the jam-pomegranate mixture into individual Martini glasses. Top with the fruit custard, garnish with pomegranate pearls and serve it chilled.

You can avoid jam garnishing. Simply after mixing fruits and custard, garnish it with pomegranate pearls and Serve it chilled...It taste Yumm..!!


Note:
  • You can use any fruit acc. to your taste.
  • Sauteing fruits can also be avoided.
  • adjust amount of sugar acc. to your taste.
  • Garnishing can be done with colorful cherry.
  • Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp can be use for a different aroma.
