Besan Cheela


Delicious Besan Chilla Roasted with Oil for Snack / Breakfast...

Ingredients
  • Besan                                    2 cups
  • Finely chopped Onion           1 large
  • Finely chopped Green Chilli   1
  • Finely chopped Coriander     1 bunch leaves
  • Ajwain                                  1 tsp
  • Hing                                      a pinch26
  • Black Pepper Powder           1 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder                 1/2 tsp
  • Chat Masala                          1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder                 1 tsp
  • Water to make batter             1- 1 1/2 cup
  • Oil                                         for cooking 
  • Salt                                       to taste 

Method

Put all ingredients except water in a large bowl.  Now start adding small amounts of water to make a soft dough, so there should be no lumps in it. 
Add water until it reaches a consistency of dosa batter or drip. Now keep aside.  Now heat a non-stick-tawa or heavy bottom frying pan, then reduce the heat to medium heat. put 1 tsp oil on tawa and spread 1 tbsp portion of dough evenly over it. 
Cook top layer cheela to change color and the lower layer becomes golden brown in color. Now turn it around with the help of a wooden spatula, and cook until the other side is also golden brown color returns. Spread a paper napkin on a plate and put the cheela cooked in it. Repeat with the second cheela too. Serve hot with sauce or spicy green sauce. can be taken with toast also.

Note: You can add Chopped vegetables and grated cheese in it if you want.
