It's a Aromatic masala used widely in Indian cooking.
Ingredients
- Star anise (Chakra Phool) 1-2
- Black cardamom 6
- Black peppercorns 21/2 tsp
- Cinnamon (Dal chini) 10 inch stick
- Cloves (Laung) 1 tbsp
- Green cardamom 4 gms
- Mace (javitri) 1 blade
- Coriander seeds 4 tbsp
- Cumin seeds 3 tbsp
- Nutmeg,grated (Jaifai) 1/1 tsp
- Salt 1/2 tsp
Method
Take a pan and lightly roast the whole masalas one by one: cumin seeds, coriander seeds, black pepper, cloves, small cardamoms, big cardamoms, nutmeg, cinnamon and mace. Mix all these, let cool and grind to a fine powder. If required, sieve. Store in an airtight jar.
