Delicious Cucumber Raita..!!
Cucumber Raita is a variation of raita that can be used as a dip or a salad. It is made by mixing together freshly chopped cucumber, green chillies, and curd or yogurt, and optionally finely chopped tomato and onion.
Ingredients:
- Thick plain Yogurt (make sure its not sour) 2 cups
- Cucumber (half grated and half chopped) 1 large (Peeled)
- Roasted cumin powder 1/2 - 1 tsp
- Cilantro Few sprigs
- Salt To taste ( try the black salt)
- Chilli powder/ground pepper For garnish (optional)
Method
Add the yogurt along with the spices in a bowl. Beat well until it becomes smooth. Add the grated cucumber and mix well. Then add the chopped cucumber to the mix. Along with cilantro, Give it a good mix.
Serve garnished with some chilli powder/roasted cumin powder to taste. I also add few additional chopped cucumber pieces as a garnish.
The cucumber raita is very tasty and yummy. I prefer such tasty indian food recipes which accompanies other dishes.
