Urad Dal Matar Fry



It's a Recipe which is a wonderful combination of Urad Dal and Matar Fry.

Ingredients
  • Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal) cooked with salt and turmeric powder till just done 1 cup
  • Shelled green peas        1 cup
  • Oil                                2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds                 2 tsp
  • Onions,chopped 3 medium
  • Green chillies,chopped 2
  • Ginger,chopped 1 1/2 inch piece
  • Salt                               to taste
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon                          1
  • Fresh coriander leaves a few sprigs
  • Scraped coconut 3 tablespoons

Method
Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add cumin seeds and let them brown. Add onions, green chillies and ginger and saute till fragrant. 

Add black gram and green peas and mix. Add salt, red chilli powder, juice of ½ lemon. Chop coriander leaves and add and mix well. Add coconut and mix. Serve hot.
