It is a quick, easy and delicious recepie, perfect food for fasts.
Ingredients
- Swang ke chawal 1/4 cup
- Milk 5 cups
- Sugar 1 cup
- Cardamom Powder 1/4 teaspoon
- Dry fruits acc. to your taste
Method for Swang Kheer
Wash rice in water very well, now take a thick bottomed pan, add the rice and milk in saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook for a while to simmer, stirring constantly for about 5-10 minutes. Continue cooking over low heat until rice is cooked and the milk is reduced to half. After this add sugar and let it simmer until the sugar dissolves. Now add the shredded almonds, raisins and cardamom powder to it and stir for a few minutes (almonds to be soaked in hot water for 15 minutes before starting the preparations for this recipe).
Serve it hot or chilled. It tastes yum in both manner
