Bread Poha


In Bread Poha Bread pieces are cooked with mixed vegetables and other spices to make a delicious evening snack for every one.

Ingredients

  • Bread Slices, broken               10
  • Oil                                           2 tsp
  • Peanuts                                    4 tsp
  • Mustard seeds                         1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves                            10-12
  • Onion, Chopped                      2 medium
  • Tomato, chopped                    1 medium
  • Ginger-garlic paste                   1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder                     1/2 tsp
  • Salt                                          1 tsp (or acc. to taste)
  • Green chilli, chopped                2-3
  • Coriander powder                    1 tsp
  • Mix vegetables                         1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice                             1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves                      accordingly
Method
Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add peanuts and fry till golden brown. Drain on an absorbent paper and set aside. Add mustard seeds in the same oil. Once the mustard seeds splutter, add curry leaves and sauté for half minute. Add ginger- garlic paste, saute it for two min. add onions and sauté for three to four minutes.  also add tomato and saute it for 2-3 min. Now add salt, turmeric powder, green chillies, coriender powder, saute it for a min. and then add the vegetables.Cover with a lid and cook for five minutes. (Sprinkle a few drops of water to prevent dryness, if needed)
Now, Add bread and sprinkle some water. Cover and cook for five minutes. Add coriander leaves, lemon juice, fried peanuts and mix well. Serve it hot.
